I am currently in my second year of teaching. I teach 3rd-6th grade. I am a CBI/Self-Contianed teacher.
We learn as much as possible to play. My kiddos love to play and learn, but they learn best through playing games. Playing games helps them not only develop academic skills but it helps them develop much needed social skills! I do A LOT of individual teaching so that we are able to play together as a group.

I have a BSE in Early Childhood Education (P-4) and am certified to teach P-12 Special Education.
Teaching special education is my passion. Being able celebrate those baby steps in a BIG way is my drive. It is a challenge, but that challenge is what keeps me going. Taking the challenges and finding new ways, multiple new ways, to present the information is worth it when you see it finally "click".... Our cheers can be heard through the halls and we celebrate longer than we should, because that is truely what it is all about, helping the kids meet those HUGE (tiny to some, but big to us) milestones! Yes, I could go on about how rewarding my job is, but I will stop here. A little about me: I have a 6 month only Maltese named, Aspyn, who is my baby. I also have a 3 year old nephew, 2 sisters and 1 brother. Not only do I teach for a career, I also teach a Sunday School class for 4 and 5 year olds... What can I say...teaching is my calling!
