I have been an elementary school teacher for over 20 years. I was blessed to get a teaching position right out of college. Shortly after working in a Catholic school (with an amazing staff), I was lucky enough to be hired in a public school system and I am happy to say I am still there teaching 5th graders. I love what I do and I love the people I work with!
I love it when the kids are learning and they don't even know it because they are having so much fun. I believe in movement and mnemonic devices for learning. I also believe in feedback. Students need to know how they are doing so that they can continue on the path to success or change what they are doing to reach success.

I attended PSUC in Plattsburgh, NY and completed my 4 year degree back in 1991. I then went on to earn my masters at Plattsburgh State and continue to take classes to this day. I often welcome education students from PSUC to my classroom where they can complete their placement requirements and graduate with their teaching degree. The best way to learn is to jump in with 2 feet.
I am the proud mama of a 5 year old that will be going to Kindergarten this year. Our family is very excited about this big step! My son is my proudest achievement.
