TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I spent 15 years teaching in a rural setting. I am now retired but still have a passion for education. I have taught most elementary subjects at some point but my main focus has been math. I developed my curriculum, "No Calculators Math," to help students develop basic skills they need to be successful in math.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe strongly in experiential teaching that engages students. I had the benefit of being able to take students on many field trips and experiences during my career to enhance students' education. I believe strongly in creating a community in my classroom where all students feel respected and welcomed.
