I started as a history high school teacher in a public school in New Jersey. I have since completed coursework and passed the exam to be a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). I have been teaching students with autism for 7 years. I have done extensive work both for home programs and in school skill acquisition and behavior reduction. I have experience in almost all grade levels.
I use the principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) to create behavior and learning targets. My experience with multiple professionals (SLP, OT, PT) has impacted my approach in a very positive way.
-While it is not an official award my current school district has strategically placed me in situations in which there was a dire need. In all situations I have been able to create a positive learning environment and improved both behavior and student skills.
