TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I spent the beginning of my career in charter schools for at-risk students. I learned, by trial and fire, about the importance of classroom management and keeping students actively engaged in their learning. From there, I moved to a top ranking school, where I taught Advanced Placement Economics (macro and micro), Psychology, and United States History. Now, I teach in a parochial school, focusing on community service and personalized learning and the incorporation of technology.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I prefer my lessons revolve around student ownership and active engagement in content. As fun as this sounds, it is incredibly difficult to get all students on board and to take the content we cover to be their own. This journey of education is just that: a long and sometimes painful journey.
