MY TEACHING STYLE

Engagement First: There's a big discrepancy between engagement and compliance. My focus is on creating lessons that students not only enjoy in the classroom, but share with their families after school. I expect in-depth critical and higher-order thinking to become second nature. Layers of scaffolded materials are provided to all students, enabling them to self-select the resources to meet and then surpass expectations.

2013: Melinda Gates Round Table Advisor 2012-2013: Learnzillion: Dream Team: Content Creation 2012-2013: Scholastic: Teacher Advisor 2012: Scholastic: Project Consultant; Boys Engagement Specialist 2012: International Reading Association: Annual Conference Presenter

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I found school to be miserable, boring, and torturous. Discovering that I actually enjoyed to learn, I felt cheated. Keene State College: Bachelor of Science; Education and Communication University of Massachusetts: Master of Education (ex. 2015)

The resources posted here will always be provided free of charge for one reason: feedback to confirm or enhance effectiveness are more valuable than monetary contributions.
