Middle School ELA teacher in Las Vegas, NV.
Since I work with a large ELL population, it is essential that my lessons can be easily differentiated for the kiddos that need extra help, as well as the high fliers. My classroom is focused on collaboration and the backwards design model. The collaboration allows me to easily differentiate. The backwards design model ensures that my teaching is standards based and rigorous.
My paper, "Reflections of a Professional Development School Graduate" will be published in the upcoming book "Teacher Leaders in Professional Development Schools." (Jan. 2018)
I graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 2014 with a bachelors degree in elementary education. Go rebels!! I earned my Master's in Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment in 2016 and am currently pursuing my a TESOL endorsement with an expected completion date in November 2017.
