TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am a 3rd year science teacher out of Eastern Kentucky University! I teach a problem/project based curriculum that I've authored entirely on my own created to meet the Next Generation Science Standards. I am now applying what I've learned creating NGSS middle school units to create elementary units in the same style and will eventually share everything I've made here on TPT.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Problem Based Learning Inquiry Based Learning 21st Century Education Making kids think about the world around them.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I have the honor of making an impact on 130 kids a year! I'm still relatively new to the career so I'm still working on "official" honors and awards!

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I graduated from Eaton High School in 2007 and Eastern Kentucky University in 2012 with a Bachelor's of Science in Middle Grades Education. I am completing my M.Ed. at the University of the Cumberlands with an emphasis in Teacher Leadership.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

My beautiful wife and I were married August 1, 2014 and I have three wonderful dogs named Dexter, Tuco and Jax!
