Use these cut and paste number lines for a hands on way to help your students learn fractions on a number line. Number lines are great to help students visualize comparing and ordering fractions. Most students are familiar with using number lines to compare and order whole numbers. Using the same strategy helps them make connections to how ordering fractions is similar to ordering whole numbers.
This packet contains 6 different number line sets:
- fraction circles
- fraction numbers

These coloring pages are perfect for 3rd graders working on area and perimeter but can be used at other grade levels too. Students solve a problem on the page and check the coloring key, then they color the shape according to the key. One thing I love about these sheets is that the coloring part makes the assignment somewhat self checking. If students are not getting answers in the coloring key, they know something is wrong. I find this highly preferable to them completing an entire sheet incorr

About the store
Experience
I have worked in elementary schools for 15 years. I have taught students from K-5th grade. I have been a classroom teacher, technology teacher, media assistant and substitute.
Teaching style
I love hands on activities. In my class we do a lot of centers and creating. I love cut and paste activities. I rely heavily on differentiation to meet the needs of my learners and I also believe in using spiral review as part of my guided math time. I strive to include opportunities for teachers to use differentiation in the products I post in my store. Sections of the resource can be assigned to different groups based on their needs. Easier portions of a resource might be usable in the beginning of the year and more challenging parts toward the end of the year. Many of my resources would still be at least partially usable if you moved up or down a grade level.
Awards & shining teacher moments
I have been considered a teacher leader at my school. I served as team leader on grade levels of 6-9 teachers as well as several committees. I have been pleased to have been requested as a teacher by many students and their parents.
