Although my background is in journalism, I've spent the past 13 years as a stay-at-home mom. I homeschooled my children from grades K-4 though they now happily attend a traditional school. I became interested in teaching after volunteering in my kids' classes; I'm currently a K-5th substitute and am taking classes to complete my elementary teacher certification.
Just like Maria in "The Sound of Music," I am firm, but kind.
I once had a Kindergarten student tell me that I'm "a good helper." I would say that's better than any award someone could give me!
Degree in Journalism from Texas A&M University (class of 2002- whoop).
I'm a Texan living in Arizona with my husband and two middle schoolers. I bake a lot of cake.
