TEACHING EXPERIENCE

For eight years I was an educator for NDSU Extension Service, focusing on nutrition education for young children. I taught Pre-K - 5th grade classrooms a variety of health education topics including nutrition education, hand washing, and manners. In addition, I have been a self employed nutrition consultant for twelve years. For the past four years I have also taught the nutrition courses at Lake Region State College. I began my own business 'Nutrition in Action' in 2009 and began developing my own health education products.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My teaching style is creative and fun. I aim for students to learn about nutrition and physical activity while reading, listening to music, and moving their bodies. My lesson plans incorporate music, movement, and children's literacy.
