I have been developing curriculum for reading intervention and English for grades 6-12 for over 7 years now! I worked in both public and charter schools, and was always creating my own curriculum and finding as many free/cheap resources as possible. I was a classroom teacher for seven years, and am now working as an independent education consultant. I love how powerful both reading and writing can be in a student's development, both academically and personally. Many of my resources are open ended and can be personalized for the student/teacher's interests and preferences because I know how important it is to infuse your own life into the curriculum, as well as that of your students. Feel free to email me at emarquezdunn@gmail.com if you need any help finding access to FREE texts or prompts to use with any of my resources. I love supporting teachers however I can!
I am passionate about personalized, mastery-based learning that utilizes every bit of technology possible. I am constantly pushing my students to critically assess ways that they can positively influence their world both now and in their futures. Many of my resources require students to actively engage in their work by evaluating their process and reflect on their learning. I have found this to be essential in guiding students to gain the literacy skills they need to thrive.
