TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I worked as a resource paraprofessional for grades 6-8 while I completed my undergraduate. I currently teach Algebra 2 at a local high school in Florida.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I like to allow my students to explore what they learn. I want my students to get as much independent practice in as they can. I also give my students opportunities to provide me with their feedback, whether they reflect on my teaching, activities, or their own personal work ethic.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

Bachelor's of Science in Secondary Education with emphasis in Mathematics from Grand Canyon University Currently working towards a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction from Grand Canyon University.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I began my Bachelor's degree at Purdue University, but transferred a year later to Grand Canyon University so that I could be with my husband in Colorado. We lived there for nearly 5 years before we moved to Florida to be closer to family. We have two children, Liam and Amarra. I hope I will be able to instill a love of math early for them! I love teaching and I love math! Algebra 2 is my favorite, so it was a blessing to be able to teach it!
