"Hands-On" Teaching I try to Incorporate as many skills as possible into EVERY lesson I teach! I feel kids must be taught in a way that is Developmentally Appropriate for their age. Lessons must be FUN, ENGAGING, and DIFFERENTIATED!
1999 TEACHER OF THE YEAR
My degree is an Early Childhood Education.I have a Master in Curriculum and Instruction. However, I have been teaching since I was in 1st grade even though I did not obtain my degree until 1998.(LOL)I love teaching and could never imagine myself doing anything else.
I teach 3rd grade and love teaching! I have to make learning fun and meaningful for my students. I incorporate as many skills as possible into each activity I do each day. I feel skills must be taught and tied into everyday life. As you can tell, I am a Pig lover! My classroom is full of pigs and my students and I "OINK" a lot! My class and I LOVE our class mascot Baby Cheddar! When I say OINK, it's just my little idiosyncrasy of saying GREAT JOB, "THANK YOU, or WELL DONE! OINK!
