I have been teaching music for over 15 years to grades K-12. What I have found, especially with the middle school level and up, is that projects are one of the best ways to sneak in music learning!
Does frugal for a teaching style sound odd? Well, with budget cutbacks everywhere, I've learned to cram as much on a piece of paper, teach students how to care for things so they last, and borrow technology from other classes. Just because where you work might lack finances, doesn't mean your students are going to lack in their education!
When a student, who didn't always participate, said to me, "I really liked this project".
I received my Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education from Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ. I earned a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on technology from Grand Canyon University.
