My name is Olivia Roth. I graduated from a New York college in May 2010 with a degree in Childhood Education and Special Education. I decided to move to Hawaii to pursue my teaching career. I landed a job teaching third grade in an inclusion setting and I love it! Not only do I get to teach students that fill our classroom with their unique qualities, but I get to do it with another teacher in the room. Seeing Diamond Head and the clear blue water of the Pacific Ocean from our classroom is just an added bonus.
I love to use visuals aids and manipulatives with my teaching. If I can make a game out of any concept, I do it! Students need to be engaged and know why they have to learn the concept or skill being taught. Microsoft word and the Internet are my best friends!
