I began teaching in 2010 and have taught at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. This year, I'm at a Middle School teaching Grade 7. Visit me at or

I enjoy being challenged by my students. I encourage students to think and question and engage me and each other. I put a big emphasis on critical thinking. I love to incorporate humour into my teaching.

Yet to be added

I grew up in the same district I am teaching in now. I did my first practicum at my elementary school, and it was very strange to go into the school as a student teacher! The first time I went into the staff room, I still felt like I wasn't allowed in there! Now that I have been working, I feel very supported as a teacher in my district as many of my colleagues were former teachers of mine!

I live in Victoria, BC, Canada. I love to travel, although I haven't done as much of it as I'd like. I am a very proud auntie to two nieces (Nati and Emily) and a nephew named Caleb!
