For my first two years of teaching, I worked as a special education teacher in an inclusion setting. I then became a first grade general education teacher, and the 2018-2019 school year will be my fifth year teaching first grade. I have certifications in elementary education (grades 1-6), special education (infant-adult), and early childhood education (PK-grade 3).
I provide a structured learning environment where students can develop their own understandings through collaborative learning, hands-on activities, and opportunities to apply their knowledge.

I graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Delaware with an honors Bachelor's Degree in both elementary and special education. Additionally, I received a Master's Degree in instructional technology from University of Maryland University College. I also have a graduate certificate in Equity and Excellence in Education through McDaniel College.
While teaching can be stressful, I absolutely love what I do and I can't imagine doing anything else!
