TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I started teaching in 2007 in the high school and intermediate setting. I've taught in the special education setting in Language Arts, Social Studies - Economics, U.S. History, Pacific Islands, History of the Hawaiian Kingdom, Study Skills, Workplace Readiness, and Psychology. I have taught in the regular education setting and Honors setting in Social Studies - Early American History and History of the Hawaiian Kingdom.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I'm pretty laid back and like to let the students teach each other. I prefer doing projects and group work with stations so students are not just sitting there listening to me talk the whole time.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Highly Qualified to teach Social Studies in Hawaii for grades 7-12, Social Studies Department Head

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I graduated from Brigham Young University - Hawaii with a Bachelors in Social Science Secondary Education, Associates in Theatre and a Minor in History. Attended high school in California and Canada.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION
