I've been a social studies teacher since December 2007. Presently I teach in a small school district that is approximately 60 miles north of New York City. During my career I've taught five years of World History 1 and 2. The past two years I have taught US History at the 7th and 8th grade levels. Those courses were made up of classes that were inclusion, regents and honors students.
Throughout my career I have focused on creating and providing a great historical experience for all students. Each day I continuously reflect on how to use primary documents, technology, scholarly articles, and other materials to enhance my courses. All lessons are designed with the perspective of how holding students accountable but going beyond information in the textbook. I love to use many different instructional methods to reach diverse student population in my district.
