I have taught 2nd and 4th grade. While second grade was fun, fourth grade is my favorite!
I love hands-on learning! I think kids understand and remember things much when they can figure things out for themselves. I love doing things that allow those creative juices to flow and let students create something totally unique. I'm not a huge fan of traditional worksheets and try to find more engaging, fun activities to teach the same skills.

I graduated from the University of Central Missouri. I minored in Spanish and History while majoring in Elementary Education.
I live in a small town in Missouri about an hour away from where I grew up with my brother (who is also attending UCM) and his best friend/my boyfriend. There's always something exciting or crazy going on around my house due to living with two of the goofiest guys I know, but there's never a dull moment. I live across the street from my school (literally), so I walk most nice days. I have the best principal ever and love every day I get to teach. I studied abroad my last year in college in Spain to finish one of my minors. It was the absolute best experience of my life. I lived with two teachers who taught me so much about Spain's education system and who helped me master being fluent in Spanish. I love to teach my students Spanish words and phrases! Plus, it's a huge help when it comes to communicating with my ESL students (and parents).
