As a special educator I have worked with students grades K-6 in a variety of settings. From being a 1:1 aide to a resource room teacher, I have learned the value of differentiation and individualization throughout my teaching career.
Engaging, purposeful, individualized teaching is the one-way ticket to student learning. I believe in creating lessons to build life-long skills through the use of engaging materials and strategies. Individualizing lessons provides students with the intrinsic motivation necessary to construct knowledge in an authentic way.
