My name is Laura Lohmann and I have been teaching Art for 25 years in Ohio. I love teaching students fun and exciting projects and hope that you will find my projects enjoyable for your students as well.
My lessons involve many process oriented explorations, while creating a wonderful piece of art. My passion is to incorporate the various subjects of a curriculum into my art lessons. I encourage my students to become fine art-explorers, learning about nature, various artists and beautiful cultures. I enjoy seeing my students start with a blank canvas and explore using art materials to create beautiful mini masterpieces!
Check out my new book! Mini Masterpieces: Exploring Art History with Hands-On Projects for Kids. I love sharing my lessons and have presented at the National Art Education Association Convention, Crayola Dreammakers Regional Shows and present annually at the Ohio Art Education Association Convention. My art projects have been published in Arts and Activities and Family Fun magazines. Ohio Art Education Association – Outstanding Art Teacher 2007
Masters of Arts Education, Bachelor of Arts
In my spare time I enjoy gardening, antiquing, visiting our National Parks and sitting by a campfire with my husband and two kiddos and pup.
