TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught 6th grade reading and all levels of high school, including Pre-AP. Currently, I am the instructional coach at a high school in TX. I work with teachers to create meaningful lessons and engaging classrooms that are differentiated to meet all learner's needs. I model lessons for teachers, as well as work as an interventionist for students needing to meet standard on End-of-Course exams.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love student-centered activities! I am passionate about teaching and love to have high-level activities that engage students. As an instructional coach, I see even more value in high-level activities to push students further. Lesson reflection for both the learner and the teacher are priorities of mine, and I strive to live by example in this, and all things.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

My little family is so important to me. My son, Liam, was recently born and is the joy of my life. I strive to create lessons I would want him to do one day. I always think in terms of "is this the classroom I would be happy for my son to be in?" and adjust my lessons from there.
