A fun way to get the students' attention. They love it and it works. I introduce a new attention getter once or twice a week. Teacher says beginning of phrase. Students finish phrase. Then freezes, looks, and listens with whole body.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

14 years of teaching in pre-k, 1st, 3rd, and 6th grades. I have a masters of educational leadership and a Principal certificate. I have been an instructional coach, student council advisor, principal intern and trained teachers in school and district wide professional development in classroom management and Kagan Cooperative Learning.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I provide students with many opportunities to collaborate, create, and use higher level thinking skills through projects, manipulatives, art, and music. Students are encouraged to take an active role in their learning by asking questions, and setting goals.
