I was a high school Spanish teacher for 4 years. I began teaching ESL in January 2013. I've taken off time to travel, marry, and have a baby; however, I could not stay out of the classroom! Teaching is my passion, and I am dedicated to becoming better and better as well as creating things I believe will help others. I am just now beginning to create things catered to my student's needs, and I am sure these things will meet the needs of others somewhere!
I try my best to make every lesson fun, engaging, and relevant. I teach my heart out!
Yet to be added
In 2006 I graduated from Louisiana College with a degree in social work. I practiced for 6 months before realizing I wanted to do something else. I traveled for a bit, and when I returned from that adventure, I decided substitute teaching would be a good thing to try until I found a career. A month later I began teaching full time! I worked to become certified while teaching. I continue to read, research, read, research, and occasionally take a class to be the best teacher I can be.
I am a new mom to a precious baby girl, and hopefully she will soon have a sibling. I also have 2 large dogs and a cat. One day when I have time--or retire because teachers don't have free time--I will write books about their adventures.
