Over the last 10 years, I have taught in a vast array of special education settings. I began my special education experience teaching in a residential environment for students with social and emotional needs grades 1-6. Then moved into public schools teaching supplemental learning support, behavioral/emotional support. This year I will be working with two amazing 5th grade teachers to create the first ever full inclusive/collaborative classroom in our elementary school!
I try to create ideal situations for my students to learn in real time. I believe using hands on manips and real life situations to create an atmosphere that is meaningful and allows children to flourish.
