By Past The Potholes Hey teachers! We're Claire and Terry, two Ontario teachers with a combined 40+ years of teaching experience! Claire is the upper elementary teacher and Terry specializes in middle school. We believe in creating engaging yet rigorous learning opportunities that build problem-solving and critical thinking in our students. BUT we believe teachers need a life outside the classroom too! We're here to help with teaching tips and resources focused on Language Arts, Math and Assessment from grades 4-8. You can find lots of useful resources on our blog too!
We both believe in student-led, inquiry-based learning. Our lessons provide opportunities for students to collaborate and problem solve while we provide the support and instruction needed to excel.

Both of us have a Bachelor of Education. Terry has a Masters in Education. Claire has Media Specialist and Integration of Information and Computer Technology in the Classroom Specialist.
