TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, working primarily with elementary aged children in a school-based format. I have found working with younger children presents a challenge for counselors due to the short attention span of the children as well as limited language skills. I tend to spend most sessions integrating play and art to meet the needs of my clients.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), art therapy, play therapy, and client centered approach in sessions. I tend to use an eclectic approach to meet the various needs of my clients.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I am and LPC. I currently do not hold any specific specializations.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I graduated with my associates degree in 2004 from Tulsa Community College. I received my Bachelor's degree in Christian Counseling in 2010 from Liberty University. I received my master's degree in Professional Counseling in 2012 from Liberty University. I received my LPC license in May of 2014.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I have been happily married to my husband, Charles, for 17 years. We have 2 beautiful children and live in a lovely rural town. My faith is a central part of my life. I have a deep desire to see families healed and restored.
