I have experience teaching Pre-K as well as K-3. I have gained knowledge and skills for working with children with special needs. I have spent the last three years working with therapist and training teachers to work with students with special needs.
I believe that students should be helped to begin a lifelong journey of learning. I like to do many hands on assignments so that students can immediately see the relevance of the lesson in their everyday lives.
I am honored to be a foster parent with Bessemer DHR. I am also a board member for the Jefferson County Child Development Council. I hold a valid teaching certificate in both Georgia and Alabama.
I hold an Associates Degree in Child Development from Lawson State College as well as a Bachelors Degree in Education from Miles College.
I am currently a Developmental Consultant in the Birmingham area. I create and facilitate training's for local schools and child development centers to include government agencies.
