In my early years I was a gymnastics coach for 15 years. I managed Circles Academy for 5 years. I then coached upper level gymnasts for 10 Years at Stars Gymnastics & Dance. Coaching gymnnastics is where I discovered my joy for teaching and the "little" awards that came with teaching children. My first teaching assignment was in 1st grade. Teaching that first year was everything I thought it would be, I absolutely loved it. Then I taught 3rd grade for the next 16 years where I fell in love with the age level. I still love teaching as much as I did my first year.
I teach in a traditional school setting with an emphasis on hands on learning, cooperative learning and the Common Core Standards.

In my spare time I love gardening, Zumba and scrapbooking. However, now that I have a wonderful little one the majority of my time is devoted to teaching, loving her and showing her the world. I also love pinning awesome educational ideas on Pinterest, it is sooooo addicting! I'm so blessed to have a wonderful husband who inspires me to fulfill my dreams.
