Received the 2011 – 2012 Outstanding Educator Award, for Hayes Intermediate School. Recipient of the 2007 Wal-Mart Teacher of the Year Award. Recipient of a 2011 School Bell Award. In 2001 received recognition by the Trotwood-Madison school district for having the class that scored the district’s highest on the writing portion of the 6th grade Ohio Proficiency Test
