TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I graduated with dual degrees in both Elementary and Special Education. My student teaching was completed in a 5th grade Math/Science classroom, and a Learning Support Resource Classroom for grades 2-5. Upon graduation in 2012, I traveled to North Carolina to complete my 2 year commitment with Teach For America, where I taught 5th grade Language Arts/Social Studies and 2nd grade. I continued teaching 2nd grade at my placement school for four years, the final year just focusing on Literacy. During this time, I focused my character education around the idea of teaching my students to be Peacemakers. For the 2016-2017 school year, I will be starting a new position as a Elementary School Interventionist for kindergarten and fourth grade.
