I have been teaching high school and university level English classes for about 4 to 5 years now in Guadalajara Mexico. Prior to moving to Mexico, I also taught many leadership and team building courses to at-risk students through various social service organizations in Idaho and California. I continue to travel back and forth from Mexico and Idaho.
My educational background is through social work and so I really like to empower my students and encourage them that they are experts and can learn as much as they want to learn. I enjoy a lot of student interaction and try to include team activities where students can really practice their communication skills with other students.
President of the language department at the Universidad del Valle de Mexico from 2014-2018. Was also selected from my school to be enrolled in a "Best Teaching Practices" course.
I have a Master's Degree in Social Work through Boise State University and my undergraduate degree is in Social Science.
I love to travel, learn, teach, listen, and meet new people. My passion is helping people in any possible way that I can through teaching or counseling. My other passion is hockey, I love to play it and watch it and I am currently trying to grow the sport in Mexico with both children and adults.
