Mark has twenty four years of teaching experience in the elementary middle school, high school, and community college settings. He currently serves as a middle school English-language arts teacher and reading specialist in Elk Grove Unified School District, outside of Sacramento.

His MA Education (Reading Specialist) is out of the California State University at Sacramento. Mark received his teaching credential at the University of California at Los Angeles after graduating Magna cum Laude from the University of Southern California. Go Trojans!

He has also authored curricula to tell teachers differentiate instruction, including Teaching Essay Strategies, Teaching Grammar and Mechanics, Teaching Spelling and Vocabulary, Teaching Reading Strategies, and Essential Study Skills for his own Pennington Publishing.
