I began teaching as a preschool teacher but have spent the past several years as a 4th and now a 5th grade math and science teacher. My classes have been primarily taught using self-made materials and collaboration with other educators.
My teaching style is making small groups meaningful and engaging with interactive notebooks and self-directed activities
I have presented on positive behavior and student self-reflection at a district wide teacher symposium.
B.S. in psychology from Syracuse, and certified K-6 with masters in teaching, learning and curriculum from Drexel.
I was born and raised right outside of Philly, where my husband (who is also a teacher- high school English) and I live with our son and puppy. We bought an older home so that we could have the ability to do small fixes and have LOVED every minute of it. We both love to be creative and find fun fixes to simple problems!
