I have been teaching full time for six years. I started out my teaching career in Middle School but switched over to Elementary after two years and have been enjoying the upper Elementary Grades ever since. I try to incorporate my knowledge of Middle School curriculum and expectations in all that I do at the Elementary level to help prepare my students for what they will encounter after they leave the Elementary level and move forward.
I am a whole brain thinker who takes a whole brain approach when working with students.
I earned my Bachelor of Science degree [Early Childhood-Middle Adolescence Education focus] and my first teaching certification in Wisconsin. When I moved to North Carolina two years ago I got certified to teach down here as well. I am licensed to teacher Kindergarten through Ninth grade and have an emphasis in all core subject areas: Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, and Mathematics.
I love what I do and I love sharing what I know with others.
