I have taught a variety of subjects and grades over the years, I currently teach 10th grade World History! I cannot emphasize how much I love teaching this subject. I enjoy creating suspense in my class, introducing primary sources and having discussions, and haveing them participate in hands-on activities that reinforce the topics being learned.
I love finding activities that will engage the students in my history class. One of my favorite things that happens on occasion is when the students are so engrossed in discussing the current topic, that the end of class arrives and no one wants to leave. Love!
The best honor I've had to date was a lovely note from a student, thanking me for making history so exciting and making her enjoy history for the first time. I'll probably save it forever.
B.S. in Education, George Fox University.
I have seven of my own children who are my inspiration. I love to make learning fun and capture the attention of my class, while implementing a variety of teaching styles. I hope you find something you enjoy, and thank you for teaching.
