TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching for 11 years in 4 different states and schools.. I started teaching in Washington DC in a resource setting and have done push in and pull out resource as well as co-teaching in general education classrooms. 5 years ago I started teaching in a self contained classroom and fell in love with that setting. Since then I have taught in a 4/5 Autism classroom and am currently teaching in a K/1 Autism classroom in St. Louis.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I use many visuals and hands on activities throughout the day with my students. We have a structured day and work on building independent skills, learning basic skills and language concepts, reading comprehension, art activities and social skills. We also enjoy enjoy our Fun Friday activities every week!
