I spent my first two years of teaching in general education third grade, focusing on math and science. I then spent one year teaching high school students in a psychiatric residential treatment facility and another year teaching in a self-contained classroom for third through fifth graders with Autism. This year I am in 5th grade math and science inclusion. I have been blessed with a wide variety of educational experiences with students!
I like to focus on nurturing creativity and relevant activities in the classroom. I feel these techniques promote intrinsic motivation and a desire for deep-level learning experiences.
Yet to be added
I am a 2011 graduate of Georgia Southern University with a BSEd in Elementary Education and MEd in Elementary Education.
I look forward to gaining educational insights from all of you sharing your ideas and hopefully provide some fun activities for you to share with your students!
