I have taught for 28 years. My first eight years were spent at the secondary level teaching English/Language Arts. Over the last twenty years I have taught 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades.
I am a strong believer of integrating curricula across subject areas. When teaching a unit in Science or Social Studies, I look for ways to connect that particular content to Language Arts and Math.
Bachelor's degree in English at James Madison University; Master's degree in Reading Education at University of West Florida; Post Bac degree in Elementary Education at Arizona State University
I live in Arizona with my "Go-To-Guy", Dan, the most kind and generous man I know. I am proud to say that our daughter, Danielle, has followed in her mother's footsteps as an educator, too.
