TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have a B.A. in print journalism and worked in communications and public relations for 10 years. I have been teaching for 11 years. I spent my first year teaching 7th and 8th graders in a charter school for East African Immigrants. For the next five years I taught grades 9-12 at an alternative learning center for students who didn't find success in the mainstream classroom. For the past five years I have taught at a mainstream high school where I have taught all areas. My specialties include journalism/yearbook, writing, communication and media studies.
