TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have experience teaching core subjects throughout the middle grades. I have taught history, English, and intervention courses in grades 6, 7, and 8 for the past 12 years.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love activities that encourage students to make personal connections to what they are learning. I believe physical movement and tactile experiences help to engage all of my students, and I try to incorporate opportunities for movement as well as collaboration in my classroom whenever possible.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I have been voted "Teacher of the Year" at my school site!

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I hold a BA in US History with an emphasis on Africa. I have a single-subject teaching credential in social science as well as English. I also have an administrative credential and a masters degree in educational leadership.
