TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I worked for a couple of years in Bellingham, WA at an amazing alternative co-operative school. While there I taught art and middle-school math and reading. In Bellingham I attended Western Washington University and graduated through Fairhaven College with a degree in Empowerment of the Individual through Alternative Education and Art Expression (Phew! That's a mouthful...). I moved to Portland, OR to attend Lewis and Clark College where I received my Masters in Teaching. While at Lewis and Clark I student taught in the 2nd grade at Buckman Arts School. Upon graduating, I was incredibly fortunate enough to be offered a job at Orchards Elementary in Vancouver, WA. I taught 3rd grade my first year and have taught 4th for the past three. I feel very lucky to be working with such an amazing community!
