I have 8 years of experience teaching in the early childhood classroom. I have taught in Reggio Emilia inspired schools, Play-Based classrooms, and inclusive environments.
I believe that children construct their own knowledge when they are scaffolded by teachers who follow their interests. Play is an important aspect of learning in the early years. Exposure to a variety of materials provokes a child's interest and a desire to explore and learn more.
I hold certificates in Anti-bias Curriculum and the CLASS tool. I have training in the Reggio Emilia and Project Approach Curriculum. I amfully trained in the DRDP, ASQ, and ECERS assessment tools. I have presented at over a dozen physiological, social science, and education, regional and national, conferences.
I hold a bachelors degree in Human Development with an emphasis in Early Childhood and an Associates degree in Early Childhood Education.
I am passionate about providing quality resources that I actually use in my own classroom and as an assistant preschool director. I have two elementary age children as well and like to provide products that I might use to supplement their learning at home or when I help with school events that I might put on.
