MY TEACHING STYLE

I like to provide students the opportunity to choose their learning paths and use authentic technology including social media as they work independently or in groups toward solving relevant and practical problems. I strive to differentiate according to levels of "readiness" and I incorporate literacy and presentation skills into everything that I do.

I am an advocate for fostering healthy school culture based on high academic standards for all students, and creating differentiated structures to achieve those goals. Having a broad range of experiences at both the middle and high school levels, including team teaching, working in urban and suburban schools, special education, and school administration, I can appreciate the unique nature of the transitory middle school environment in addition to the preparatory nuances of a comprehensive high school program.
