TEACHING EXPERIENCE

My accent is Castillian... with the lisp. I have done the majority of my formal learning- living, studying and working in various parts of Spain (Granada, Barcelona, Talavera de la Reina, and Santiago de Compostela), however I've also had opportunities to travel and know Argentina, Costa Rica, and Mexico on various occasions as well. I have taught 13 years in public high school education. It's a craft that I've honed and perfected to fit my style and experience. I love what I do and am always creating new material.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I have taught on a block A/B schedule for 13 years. The classes have ranged from 80-99 minutes long every other day. My class is active- I use a variety of media, movement, games, and speaking activities to give the students opportunities to use what they learn. My class is also structured - I use a notebook system that serves as the student's textbook. This allows me to teach about 90% in the target language because students are responding to predictable language.
