TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I'm a qualified primary school teacher, who loved teaching new entrants (5 year olds) but had experience across the board. Starting my own family has put my teaching career on hold, but I am now a fully fledged Playcentre Mum putting my skills to good use. I am passionate about te reo Māori, art, messy play and outdoor nature play.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Montessori-esque. I'm a big believer in play.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I have a degree in journalism and worked for many years as a journalist. However, my passion for education sent me back to school to complete my primary school teaching graduate diploma as well as a diploma in Treaty of Waitangi studies. I'm now also working through my Playcentre parent education.
