I am currently starting my 4th year of teaching science at Zephyrhills High School. I have progressively moved from teaching biology to teaching nothing but marine science (which I love!)
As a science teacher, I believe in a hands on/minds on approach to learning. I have found that students grasp concepts better when they are able to perform hands on activities that help to enrich the information that they learned in class.
I graduated as a member of Phi Sigma Theta as well as the National Society of Leadership and Success!
I graduated from River Ridge High School in 2004. Then I went to Pasco-Hernando Community College where I received my AA degree in the fall of 2006. I then continued my education at the University of South Florida where I received my Bachelor's of Science degree in Secondary Science education with a concentration in biology in May 2012. I am currently wrapping up graduate school at USF with a master's in curriculum and instruction: bioogy
When I am not teaching, I love to read, play video games and watch movies!
