TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching in Arizona for 14 years in grades Kindergarten, 1st and currently 2nd. I have a Bachelors and Masters degrees in Elementary Education and endorsements in Early Childhood and ESL. I teach professional development classes in my district and school too. I am currently working on my National Board Certification.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I deeply believe in early childhood best practices and providing access to cultural literacy to all my students. I set high, yet realistic expectations that are still within the realm of being developmentally appropriate for young learners. My classroom is very student-centered and student-driven, allowing students in my room to make many of their own choices in learning styles, literature, etc.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I attended Preschool-High School in New Jersey before moving to Arizona to attend Arizona State University. I have a bachelors and masters degree in Elementary Education.
